Brora Rangers, the local football team, used to play in woollen jerseys knitted by local ladies, with the addition of a large white cat (the symbol of Sutherland) stitched onto the chest.
Does anyone know who did the knitting/stitching?
Does anyone know if an original jersey still survives??? _________________ Nick Lindsay

Taken from Neil Mackays book.
At the time when Mr T M Hunter had supplied a new kit which was hand knitted in Shetland. The cats were sown on in the workshop of Hector (the tailor) Sutherland in Rosslyn Street (now the post office) by the girls who were employed there. Joey Duncan was one of those girls who carried out
this work at a later date and was the source of this information.

Ian,
That's great. I will speak to Joey, who still lives in the village today.
